The KH 120-II model is the successor of the popular KH 120 A type, with a DSP processor and better parameters. It is intended for "nearfield" applications, i.e. mainly for close listening. However, it can also be used as a rear or effect speaker in multi-channel systems. Like all studio monitors, Neumann follows this philosophy: the highest possible linearity, the lowest possible distortion, no sound coloration and perfect adaptation to the acoustic environment.It has a precise MMD (Mathematically Modeled Dispersion) ear canal for a wider sweet spot and reduction of reflections from the table or mixing desk, and switches for correcting the frequency curve depending on the placement of the speakers in the room.
